The Zildjian K Custom Hybrid 390 box set is a set of three cymbals: a 14.25-inch hi-hat, a 17-inch crash and a 21-inch ride. This package features half of the six cymbals that Zildjian brought out in celebration of their 390th birthday. The extremely versatile custom Hybrid cymbals were designed in collaboration with the Japanese drummer Akira Jimbo, and deliver a unique sound that ranges from lively and power to dark and mild.
The Character of the K Custom Hybrid 390
The hi-hat produces the same sound as the 13.25-inch model, but offers extra volume and a broader sound. In this set you'll also find the Hybrid Mastersound finish on the bottom cymbal. Furthermore, the crash offers a dark, yet sparkling sound and guarantees that the ride has a defined attack and solid bell sound. The lathed outer half of the crash also allows for a more spacious sound and heavier-sounding crashes.
